* When is the camp?
Arrival is after 3:00 pm on Friday, August 23rd.
Departure will be after lunch/ midafternoon on Sunday, August 25th, 2023.
* Who is this camp for?
Anyone who could benefit from a supportive environment for themselves and family. It is designed for individuals with complex communication needs and their families or support system.
* How much will it cost to attend?
The cost will be $200/person for the entire weekend.
The subsidy has run out (2/13/24). Thanks to ASF Canada the first 30 people that registered will be subsidized and the price will be $100/person for the weekend.
There will be a $100 deposit due upon registration and the remainder of camp fees are due August 1st.
Please note that E-transfer is the only way to pay.
* What if I need to cancel?
Please send us an email and your cancellation will be processed. You will get a full refund of your deposit if you cancel by June 1st. After that date, your deposit will only be returned if another family is available to attend camp in your spot.
* Is there wifi at camp?
There is wifi available at the cabins, Eagle's Nest and in the dining hall.
* What meals are included?
Your fees will cover all meals and snacks from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch.
* Will you be able to accommodate food allergies?
We will be offered a balanced, child-friendly and cafeteria-style diet. They can accommodate food allergies as well as other dietary requirements, including Vegetarian, Vegan and Halal diets.
* Will there be a waiting list once the camp is full?
Yes, we will keep a waiting list once registration fills up.
* What facilities are on site?
Indoor spaces are at Nova Centre, Eagle's Nest and Dining Hall
Outdoor spaces are the field, basketball court, 2 playgrounds, waterfront (ONLY when Kinark staff have it open)
Washing Machine and Dryers are available in the Nova Centre.

* What do I need to bring?
- high and low tech AAC
- medications for you and your family along with toiletries, don't forget sunscreen and bug spray
- flashlights
- water bottle and travel mugs for hot beverages
- clothing appropriate for the weather (rain coat, swim suit, play clothes)
- chargers for any devices
- bedding for a twin bed, don't forget your pillow
- towels
- if you want to bring a fan or a heater to use in the cabin (depending on the weather forecast)
- if you think you will need to do laundry, please bring your own laundry soap and dryer sheets
